Come meet Socrates at the BARC Shelter!

Socrates is a low maintenance dog. He was brought to a groomer by his family and after grooming, they did not pick him up. The groomer discovered that the phone number and address they had was false. They were located near a famous Italian bakery (Fortunato’s), animal lovers and good friends of the BARC Shelter. They called us and we took in gentle little Socrates, sweeter than the blueberry cheesecake that accompanied him. He spends his time on the laps of volunteers, but he does enjoy going out for short walks. When he is out, he has a pep in his step that is adorable and he gets along fine with other dogs and cats, but you have to be careful that they don’t jump on him. At his late age, Socrates is developing moles on his body, but they are not cancerous, so we are praying that we can find him a quiet home where he can live his final years in safety and with a loving family.

Come meet Brandy and Bitsy!

Brandy is up for Adoption!  Brandy arrived at TSPCA with Bitsy. Although these two ladies are a little older, they are healthy, playful, and have oodles of love to give. The two have been together always and need to find a home as a set. Their former family had to board the girls quite a bit while they dealt with some ongoing medical problems; so, they made a tough decision and have entrusted the Tulsa SPCA to find them a home together with a family that can devote time to them. If you’re looking for the pitter pat of eight little feet, we know two ladies that can accommodate plus bring all the extra love you need.
