 Adopt Roxanne, a sweet Lab mix, in Seattle Washington! Roxanne is up for Adoption! Roxanne, a 1 year old Labrador Retriever mix, is ready to run with you! Her lively dark eyes tell you that she has a bounce in her step and is ready to run! Volunteers spend time with Roxanne each day, taking her on walks so that she gets the exercise she needs while waiting for her new home. She would be a great fit for an active family who will include her in their activities and continue with her training and confidence building. As with all of our dogs, Roxanne has been spayed, micro-chipped, vaccinated, and behavior tested. She will go home with a certificate for an examination by a King County veterinarian and an identification tag. PLUS, most dog adoptions include six weeks of training in one of our on-campus dog behavior courses.

 Cookie is a sweet pointer-mix puppy in Seattle! Cookie is up for Adoption! Cookie is in a foster home, and is currently not at the shelter. Cookie is a very sweet 9 week old (as of 12-5-09) pointer mix puppy who is in foster care and wishing that she could be home for Christmas! She has sleek, soft, short black hair, with classic black-on-white speckles on her paws, belly, and chest. She will probably be a fairly large, lean, athletic dog when she grows up, and will need an active family with time for daily walks (or runs!) and backyard play. She has a gentle, trusting temperament, and already loves to walk on her leash, play fetch, and explore outside. When playtime is over, she likes to snuggle up on the nearest human’s lap or curl beside us on the couch for a long winter’s nap.
Cookie is working on her house training, crate-training, and basic obedience, and is very responsive to treats and praise. She gets along well with our resident dog and is learning to respect our cats, but shows perhaps a little too much interest in our bird (she is a bird dog, after all!). She was spayed last week, and is ready to meet her new family!

 Liza at the Seattle Humane Society Liza is up for Adoption! Liza, a tan and white 1-year old Pit Bull mix, has tons of puppy energy! If you are a runner, here is your best companion. Liza also has her sweet and cuddly moments, but is very much a busy-bee! She loves to chew on kongs filled with goodies and play tug with her rope. Liza is currently in an obedience class and doing well, she knows how to sit, is crate trained, loves other dogs and loves to meet new people.
