Niko is a cute little fella!

Niko is up for Adoption!  Niko is a male husky/golden retriever pup.  He is one of a litter of pups, born around Sept. or Oct. of 2009; who were surrendered by the owner.  Niko weighs 17 lbs. and is the largest of the pups.  He is happy, sweet, active, friendly and lovable adoptable puppy.  He likes tummy rubs, being picked up and petted. Chuck is an excellent adult dog up for adoption in NC.

Chuck is up for Adoption!  Chuck was brought into the shelter by animal control on Oct. 26, 2009. He was found wondering around Shore Drive in Newport. He is super sweet and very well behaved. He walks great on the leash and seems like he is eager to please. Chuck loves to be rubbed on and given love and attention. He appears to me like he has more Golden Retriever than Lab. Not really sure. I walked him beside another dog at the shelter and he did not seem to mind the other dog. Chuck is absolutely handsome and he’s extremely sweet too. He likes to give kisses and is a complete love. Come to the shelter and visit with Chuck and see for yourself what a great fella he is and provide for him a loving FOREVER home.

Nunzio at the SPCA of Manate County, FL

Nunzio is up for Adoption!  Nunzio is a male 7 year old Labrador Retriever mixed breed dog. He weighs 65 pounds and was turned into our shelter on October 24th of 2009 because he was too much to handle for the owners. According to the previous, Nunzio is good with children, was kept indoors and is house trained. We put him out in the yard with all the other dogs, and he is fine with them, from what we’ve seen. He seems like a very playful dog, at his age. He has a very nice temperament.

Thatcher in San Francisco

Thatcher is up for Adoption! Thatcher is 3 ½ year old Boxer-American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is a large, sweet dog that needs a chance in life.  He is the best friend you could ever have, he is loyal, loving and really an easy going guy.  I love this dog.

Thatcher loves walks, playing with the ball, and being with you as much as possible – he’s a snuggler, kisser, and hugger!  Thatcher has so much to give and he can’t wait to love, and to find his forever home.

Thatcher has had a tough life and needs someone that will love and protect him and be able to work with him.  Because of his tough beginning he has some fear issues and can be a bit of a nutter at times.  The best home for him will be with an experienced dog owner that can handle a large dog and can provide him a safe space where he can be his best, and his best is awesome!

Thatcher is loving puppy stuck inside the body of a big boy. He has a serious bark but it is only to warn you, someone is out there, or to let you know he’s very excited to go for a walk.   Again, just being his nuttso adorable self.

This guy is great on leash, really a pleasure to walk.  He will not pull.  He also knows basic commands, sit, stay, down, come.  He is generally well behaved and likes to lay around and chew on his bones when inside.  The closer he can be to you, the better.  You’ll find him sleeping by your feet often.  He is also great with other dogs – very gentle and playful with his housemates.
